E Session with Corneisha and Nick

Whoa what a weekend!

Nothing like last week sipping frozen drinks on a cruise ship, but I did have fun. Friday I met up with Corneisha and Nick to shoot their engagement pictures. We went to Eureka Springs Park in East Hillsborough County. It's not far from the I4 and US 301 intersection. Most of the park is under construction, but their are gardens that you can walk around and they lent themselves to a gorgeous backdrop for their pictures. We had such a great time together, joking around. If this is a preview to their wedding day, I'm golden!

Here are some of my favorites:

We were just about to head back so they could change shirts and the light hit Corneisha's face and I was like..WAIT! I nearly scared them half to death, Nick thinking their was something behind them, but I couldn't miss out on this picture.

They were so easy to loosen. They had a great time acting like themselves.

Corneisha looks so adorable is in this hat. I'm glad we decided to have her wear it.

Great way to kick off 2008!

Cate and I just got back from a 4 night cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, to celebrate my mom's 60th b-day. It was fantastic. We left Tampa when it was 50 degrees and sailed the Gulf to warm Mexico. We had such a great time. My whole family joined my mom in the celebration.

This week I am back to reality. No one to wait on me hand and foot. I have to make my own bed, cook my own meals and darn it no one is walking around my house with an assortment of rum cocktails. Coco Loco's!

I'll be busy this weekend instead with two engagement sessions.

Happy 2008

I am wishing all of you a Happy New Year.

I'm very excited about the idea of the new year bringing new things.

So, look for my new web page launching this month. My business savvy brother, Michael is going to help me get all the legal stuff out of the way. Us artist types are clueless when it comes to that stuff. It makes my brain hurt.

I am sending many blessings to you and your family as we enter 2008.

Happiness, love and good health.

Busy busy New Year

I'm so excited that I was just asked by Valerie and Jason to photograph their wedding next year. It will be in St. Augustine the first Saturday in May. I guess they're not Ky Derby fans. I have never been to St. Augustine so I hope to make a weekend out of it. Jason and Valerie are getting married at 11am at an outdoor altar at the Mission of Nombre de Dios, which is the site of the first Catholic Mass in the U.S.  They have also reserved a garden at a historic house for family photos and their reception will be at the historic Casa Monica Hotel, www.casamonica.com. I can't wait to discover a new city and share in their special day.

January is going to busy for me as well as I photograph two engagement portraits for future bride's and groom's. Michael and Marie and I are going to go to Clearwater Beach to get some photos and head to the pier where Mike popped the question. Also, I will be photographing Nick and Corneisha's engagement pictures. Their location is still up in the air!

I am working on getting my website up. I have contacted a few graphic designers to hire and plan to nail down something before the end of the year.

Off to a dinner party.

Check back when you can!

This should hold you over...

...until I get my website up and running.

Hey guys,

With much discussion I have decided to branch out into the freelance photography business by myself. My new company name is very original, Christine DeLessio Photography. It's funny, I had no problem getting my domain name for that. Hmm, go figure!

Carrie Pratt and I both realized it's not easy mixing business and friendship, so, she is going to continue with Studio Blu Images and I am venturing out on my own.

I hope to have a website up and running shortly after the ball drops.

Look back here frequently for updates and postings on what I'm up too.

Happy Holidays, Christine
