Doughty Family, Davis Island & Ybor City

After leaving WPPI I was pumped for my next shoot. I was energized and excited and my head was full of ideas.

Rebekah and her guys were my lucky clients.

She wanted me to photograph their last family photos as residents of the Sunshine State. We spoke a few times over emails about her desire to capture a family shoot showing a Florida scene, but that she also wanted a funky side too. She wasn't sure if a beach would be too cliche, but definitely knew she wanted water in the photos. Since Ybor City was on her radar for her fun shots, I thought that Davis Island would be a great place to capture the water shots. We met on a gorgeous Saturday morning and I immediately fell in love with her boys. They are both at really adorable ages. The older one running around and excited about every little thing and the younger one, enjoying the cool breeze in his peach fuzz hair. For two hours of shooting everyone held it together beautifully and I hope I sent them off to the northeast with wonderful memories of their time here in Tampa.

Olivia, one-year-old shoot, Tarpon Springs

It went too fast.

Like I've said before, this year is flying by. It's April already. Which means Little Ms. Olivia has turned one. It can't be! I really can't believe this beautiful little baby is now a toddler and going into her second year.

Olivia's mom, Lisa and I have had such a fun year raising our two children together. We have had tears of joy and sadness with all sorts of ups and downs that come with rearing a newborn into an infant and now a toddler. It's amazing how in one year a child can gain some much knowledge and grow so much and make our heart swell with pride.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from her one-year-old shoot at Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs. It was a gorgeous spring day. Olivia was full of energy and cute as a button.

Happy Birthday, baby girl!
